Day #1 First Piece

Sunday, October 4, 2020

5 hour class with Tammy Trem @ "Salvage Candy" in Evansville, Indiana

Wiping off the grout.

Many hours are invested in the planning, gluing and cleaning the artwork in order to be ready for grouting.

Masked and covered in wet grout.

So discouraging to cover a beautiful piece in wet grout that looks like mud.

The cleaning begins

The artistry is beginning to reveal itself.

Refraction after grouting

My favorite part is the pool of light that is created by the light's rays passing through the artwork.

Well worth the effort. These pieces " s i n g " to my soul and give me an immense adrenaline rush in a job well done.
